I would like to request prayers for my dear friend Gloria Hiatt, who has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Prayers for her during this decision-making time; and prayers for the physicians as they consult and decide the best treatment for Gloria. My prayer is that she know the Lord is with her as she takes this journey, and that she know His peace that passes all understanding. Thank you so much.

Jack will be having knee replacement surgery on Tuesday, August 23rd at St. Johns. Please pray for a successful surgery; for the surgeon, and the nursing staff who care for him. Also for peace for Jack during his first hospital stay. Thank you for your prayers!

My sister, Brenda McAllister, has been diagnosed with kidney cancer and is having surgery Tuesday, August 23. It was caught in an early stage and she will have part of one kidney removed. Prayers for her, her family, and our parents who will be traveling to Iowa to be with her are appreciated.

Karen Strick had a D&C this week and they found that Karen has uterine cancer. She will be going to a women’s oncologist this week and will be having surgery to remove the cancer. They will know after this surgery if the cancer has spread. She is still having pituitary issues as well, but that cannot be taken care of until this issue is handled. Please pray for her doctors, family, and for her. Pray that the cancer has not spread and for a speedy recovery. Karen and family will need our love and support in the days and weeks to come.

From Karen Strick: Surgery went well, I am sore and some other side affects but doing well. Dr said she scrapped a lot of tissue and said she will not speculate on the condition of it, I will have to wait on pathology department(1-2 weeks).
Thanks for the prayers and keep them coming only 2 more surgeries to go! God is GOOD!!

hi my name is David and im raising my daughter Lacy Ann but my work (roofing) has came to a halt and I sold my car to buy food and diapers but the food is gone and I have no way to pay bills or rent, I know prayers work so please pray for us, im very discouraged and even now im in tears looking at her knowing shes gonna be hungry and I have nothing, I haven’t been the model christian but im ready for a change, I am in desperate need of a miracle, thank you

Prayers for Kathy Love who is having hernia surgery this afternoon (Thursday) at Cox S. The hernia has been cutting off circulation to part of the bowel, so she expects to be in the hospital 4 or 5 days.

Wanted to ask for a couple of prayers. The first one is that I go in for female surgery August 3rd. Then in the process of doing pre-op tests the doctors have found a pituitary gland issue and the doctors are sending me for a MRI on August 9th to see the gland and then to the neurosurgeon. they have told me the second female surgery will come after the pituitary gland one.

Dan and I would like to request prayers for our sister-in-law, Angie, who is hospitalized in Cox South after suffering a heart attack on Monday, July 25. She is stable at this time and we don’t know what treatment, if any, will be required. Angie is younger than us and was in apparent excellent health, so this was quite a surprise. Thanks for your prayers!

Thanks for everyone’s prayers and concern. Ron was dismissed from Cox Monday evening. All his tests turned out well–so conclusion is possibly t.i.a. (mini stroke) but possibly just a medicine interaction problem.
