Our Worship Services
Asbury offers four Sunday worship opportunities, each with a different format and style and a special Wednesday evening prayer service
Sunday 8:15am Traditional Service
This is a traditional United Methodist service with communion every Sunday. We sing hymns from the United Methodist hymnal accompainied by piano.
Sunday 9:30am Contemporary Service
This service is designed to connect people with God using contemporary Christian music. Live music is provided by Asbury's praise band - Alabaster. Featuring an informal setting, this service uses creative approaches to worshiping God. Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month.
Sunday 11:00am Blended Service
This service is a blending of the traditional and contemporary services. Asbury's Chancel Choir leads music and is accompanied by organ and piano. There are also occasional performances by Asbury's bell choir. This service also has occasional drama or video presentations.
Sunday 4:30pm Illuminate Youth Service
...let us be thankful and please God by Worshiping Him with holy fear and awe. For our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:28,29.
Illuminate is designed for youth. We have music by our very own youth praise band along with scripture and a message based on the weekly theme. Come prepared for a high energy worship experience.
This service is held in the youth lounge.
Illuminate is taking a break for the summer of 2007. It will return in Fall 2007.
Wednesday 6:15pm Evening Prayer Service
During this time we share joys and concerns and lift them up in prayer. Thre are yellow cards in the pew pockets that people may fill out and place in the offering plate, give to an usher or take to the church office. The cards are read at this service and prayers offered for these concerns.
